Soleil Kitchen® is a boutique catering company, founded in October 2016, that specializes in eclectic cuisine; a combination of soulful, southern, signature and multicultural dishes. Our menu is inspired by the many cultural experiences that we've been fortunate enough to be immersed in. We source local and organic ingredients as much as possible, while providing an array of flavorful options that will satisfy just about everyone's palette!
Whether it’s an intimate affair for a small group, a celebration/corporate luncheon, or a large scale event of up to 1,500 guest - we are able to accommodate your needs while exceeding your expectations! We are presently based out of Cincinnati, OH, and travel to work with clients in other markets often, such as: Atlanta, GA, Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Dayton, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Detroit, MI - just to name a few.
We offer Halal and Kosher items upon request. Please note, we do not cook any pork products & we are not accepting wedding catering request.

Food, community, creative freedom, and innovation are the impetus behind why Salimah Abdul-Hakim, or affectionately known as Chef Soleil, began making her exit strategy out of corporate America and became an entrepreneur in the fall of 2016. As the founder and Chief Executive officer of Soleil Kitchen, an award-winning boutique catering company, and Her Tribe Group, a social enterprise connecting and celebrating unapologetically ambitious BIPOC women, Salimah's passionate about redefining hospitality experiences. She attributes her exponential growth to 3 things: being extremely driven, taking calculated risk, and her network.
Salimah's work has been featured in Cincinnati Magazine, City Beat, Fast Company and most recently landed her the opportunity to appear on Food Networks hit TV show, CHOPPED. With a lengthy clientele list that ranges from P&G, ArtsWave to NFL players, she has no plans on pumping the brakes anytime soon and is presently excited to scale her brands, while creating additional job opportunities in the community.
Outside of the kitchen and office, Salimah enjoys traveling, spending time with her family & friends, all things brunch, and mentoring young entrepreneurs - sharing knowledge and lessons she's learned throughout her corporate and entrepreneurial journey. A Cincinnati native, you can occasionally find Salimah at the local parks or surrounding areas grounding herself or you may catch her out supporting a local restaurant, being the Bonafide foodie that she is.
